How to Get 100 Subs on YouTube (Faster Than You Think)

100 subs is quicker than you think, a month if you're dedicated. Pick a niche, use Shorts, and skip the friends-and-family advice, it hurts more than it helps.

How to Get 100 Subs on YouTube (Faster Than You Think)

If you're trying to figure out how to get 100 subs on YouTube, here's the good news up front: 100 is quick. If you're really dedicated, you can hit it in a month. Three months max.

I grow channels for a living, and this is the milestone people overcomplicate the most. Here's what actually gets you there, and the one popular piece of advice I'd throw out.

Stick with something consistent

The fastest path to 100 is boring: pick your niche, stay in it, and make the best videos you can inside it.

At this size, every video is teaching YouTube who your channel is for. Channel-hopping between topics resets that lesson every time. Consistency isn't about upload schedule here, it's about being ABOUT something, so the people who find one video know exactly what subscribing gets them.

Then let Shorts ramp it

Shorts will really speed this up. They get tested on new viewers constantly, which is exactly what you need when nobody knows you exist.

Make Shorts inside your niche, same rule as above, and the subs come faster than long form alone will ever deliver at this size. I've written about the tradeoff that comes with Shorts subs at bigger milestones, but at zero to 100, speed is the right buy.

Skip the friends and family advice

You'll hear this everywhere: get your friends, get your family, get your coworkers to sub. I'll pass on that, and you should too.

You want real subscribers, because the algorithm uses your subs to figure out who to feed your videos to. Someone checking out your video as a favor and subscribing isn't going to help you at all. They don't watch, they don't click, and now YouTube thinks your audience is people who ignore you. That's worse than a smaller number.

A real 40 beats a padded 100. The number isn't the goal, the signal is.

The short version

Pick a niche and stay in it. Make the best videos you can. Use Shorts to ramp. And earn every sub from a real viewer, because the algorithm is watching who they are.

Do that with real dedication and 100 subs is a month or three of work, not a year.
